Iyanya Onoyom Mbuk famously known as Iyanya is a Nigerian singer and songwriter. He rose to prominence with hit songs like Kukere, Your Waist and so on after winning the first season of the reality TV show Project Fame West Africa.
Iyanya was born on October 31, 1986, in Calabar, Cross River State, Nigeria. His passion for music started at a very young age when he sang in his church choir. After winning the Project Fame first season, Iyanya released his first studio album My Story in 2009. Also, he co-founded a music record label, Made Men Music Group with Ubi Franklin in 2011.
Iyanya continued to release more songs that were widely accepted and also received several awards for his works.
Fun fact: Famous Nigerian singer Iyanya sold his car to shoot the musical video of his hit song Kukere in 2009.
