Simisola Bolatito Kosoko (nee Ogunleye) famously known as Simi is a Nigerian singer and songwriter. She was born on April 19, 1988, in Ojuelegba Surulere, Lagos State and is the last of four children. Her parents separated when she was just nine years old. she developed her love for music at a very young age.
Her hit songs include, Tiff, Duduke, Smile for Me, Borrow Me Your Baby etc. She has also collaborated with several artists like Johnny Drille, Tiwa Savage, Adekunle Gole, Chike and many more.
In 2019, Simi married her long-time boyfriend and fellow Nigerian artist, Adekunle Gold. The couple shares a daughter Adejare of whom Simi wrote the song Duduke. Aside from singing, Simi is also an actress and she made her debut in movies in Kunle Afolayan’s movie Mokalik.
Fun fact: Nigerian singer Simi started her singing career as a gospel singer.
