Davido was born David Adedeji Adeleke on November 21, 1992, in Atlanta, Georgia, United States but was raised in Lagos state Nigeria. His father is Nigerian billionaire businessman, Adedeji Adeleke and his late mother was Veronica Adeleke a university lecturer who died in 2003. Davido has five siblings and he is the youngest child of his father.
Davido came into the limelight when he released his hit single Dami Duro. He founded the record label Davido Music Worldwide (DMW) and signed famous artists like Mayorkun and Peruzzi. In 2024, the singer tied the knot officially with his wife, Chioma Rowland whom he previously had a son Ifeanyi who tragically passed away by drowning in 2023. The couple has also welcomed twin children. Aside from these children, Davido also has other children from three women.
Fun fact: Nigerian singer Davido’s father paid Babcock University to start a music department for the singer to study. He was the only student in his class.
