Chinua Achebe was a famous Nigerian novelist and author known for several books such as Things Fall Apart, Arrow of God, No Longer at Ease etc. He contributed greatly to African literature and made it well-known worldwide through his writings.
Achebe was born by Albert Chinụalụmọgụ Achebe on November 16, 1930 in Ogidi, Amanbra State. His father was a teacher and evangelist and he had five children including Chinua.
The famous writer died on March 21, 2013, in Boston Massachusetts, US at 82, after a brief illness. He is remembered as a great writer and promoter of African literature who has influenced other writers like Chimamanda Adichie.
