Adetola Abdullateef Adedimeji popularly known as Lateef Adedimeji was born on February 1, 1986, in Isolo, Lagos State, Nigeria. He is from the southwestern part of Nigeria, precisely from Abeokuta, in Ogun State. Lateef Adedimeji is the fourth child of five children of his parents. The actor’s mother, whose name is Kudirat Adedimeji, is a professional trader from Oyo State. While his father, Alhaji Adedimeji, is from Ogun State.  Adedimeji’s artistic inclinations were evident from a young age. He started acting in school plays and later joined the Orisun TV platform, where he honed his skills and gained valuable experience. His big break came in 2013 with the movie “Kudi Klepto,” launching him into the spotlight and establishing him as a rising star.


Adedimeji began his primary school education at the Ire Akari Primary School in Isolo, Lagos where he was born. He attended the Ilamoye Grammar School Okota Lagos for his secondary school education. He obtained a degree in Mass Communication from the Olabisi Onabanjo University, (OOU) in Ogun State Nigeria.  Naijassdor discovered that Adedimeji had his performance training at a workshop at Onikan in Lagos State. His acting skills were honed at the Community Life Project which is a Non-governmental organization (NGO)


It wasn’t until 2007 that Lateef Adedimeji fully began his career in the entertainment industry. He began by dancing and he attended a dancing school in 2007. Since his debut with the movie titled “Kudi Klepto,” in 2013, Adedimeji has risen to become a star. Over the years of his career, Lateef Adedimeji has featured in various movies and portrayed several roles. He joined Orisun TV in 2007 and was once featured in a short video content by an NGO advocating for the HIV/AIDS campaign.

Adedimeji is very popular for his portrayals of emotional characters in movies and this has earned the moniker, crying machine.
