She is the sixth child of eight siblings born to her mother, Inaewo Darego, and father, Asenite Sikibo Darego. Agbani Darego is originally from Abonnema in Rivers State, Nigeria, but was born in Lagos and raised in Port Harcourt, Nigeria.
