Choose whatever works for you, but please it should be early in the morning. Yeah, yeah, you love your sleep and all that, but don’t you love a glow-up story more? Yeah, I thought so.

What is a morning routine?

A morning routine is a set of activities or habits that you do every morning to start your day off on the right foot. It helps you establish a positive and productive mindset for the rest of the day. Morning routines also help start the day with discipline and a clear mind for a productive day.

Some common factors of a morning routine include:

Worried african american man looks at mirror, touches facial skin anxious about forehead eyes wrinkles. Stressed serious guy has facial skin problems. Skincare, dermatology, face skin aging concept.

Wake up at a consistent time

Waking up at the same time every day makes your mind an automatic alarm clock that wakes you up. Plus, waking up early every day gives your mind the comfort of having ample time to meticulously go over daily activities without stress or worries. You know what’s best, you no longer have to do a last-minute rush hour. When it comes to choosing a time to wake up it’s best to choose what works for you.

Hydrate

Start your day by drinking a glass of water to rehydrate your body after a night of sleep. This not only clears your body system but it also helps kill and reduce belly fat. Drinking a cold glass of water helps your body cleanse itself and burn fat in your belly.

Stretch or exercise

Engage in some light stretching or exercise to wake up your body and get your blood flowing. It could be as simple as a few minutes of yoga or a quick walk. Do whatever works for you. So, you could start with a thirty or twenty-minute walk or run, then build momentum as time goes by.

Personal care

Take care of your hygiene, such as brushing your teeth, washing your face, and getting dressed for the day. This not only prepares your mind for the day, but you also feel like you have more time on your hands.

Eat a healthy breakfast

It’s nice to start your day with healthy nutritious foods, such as a fruit salad, juice or even a vegetable salad. This helps your body stay healthy as well as gives you a glow that comes from the inside.

Tips to starting a personal morning routine

To start a morning routine, it’s best to begin with small and easy steps that don’t overwhelm you. Once the steps have been chosen, then you can gradually build them.

Here are some tips to help you get started:

Determine your goals

The best way to put this to practice is to think about your next day’s goals the previous day. This helps your mind have a mental note or picture of what it needs to do the next day. Having or starting your day with a clear goal will give you direction and help you navigate your goals throughout the day.

Wake up earlier:

Set your alarm for a specific time that allows you to have a peaceful and unhurried morning. You could start by waking up just 30 minutes earlier than usual and gradually increase it over time. In everything please ensure you wake up early.

Plan ahead

Decide on the activities you’re going to do the whole day and the activities you want to include in your morning routine. It could be exercise, meditation, journaling, reading, or anything else that aligns with your goals and personal interests.

Start with one activity

Begin with a single activity that you enjoy and can realistically fit into your schedule. Putting unrealistic things in your morning routine, won’t just make it hectic and tiring for you. It will also make consistency very difficult. So, begin small with the things you love and give you inner peace then build it up.

Create a routine

Have a specific order for your activities to create a sense of structure and alignment. For example, you might start with stretching, followed by a healthy breakfast, and then reading a book.

Make it enjoyable

Choose activities that you genuinely enjoy and look forward to. This will make it easier to stick to and make your routine more pleasant.

Be flexible

Remember that life happens, and there may be days when you can’t follow your routine exactly as planned. Be adaptable and make adjustments when necessary. Don’t beat yourself or feel down when you don’t follow your routines every day. It’s all a working process.

Starting a morning routine is all about finding what works best for you and your lifestyle. Experiment, and try different patterns and styles. Be patient with yourself, and enjoy the process of creating a positive and energising start to your day. It’s time for a glow-up.
