It’s one thing to live and it’s another to live a purposeful and fulfilling life, well how do you do this, it’s by knowing who you are, your abilities, potential, and what you’re made up of.
You can alter the course of your life and make it shine brightly and fiercely. Just a change of mindset, character, attitude, and behavior and you’re good to go.
The whole “Work”, yeah, work of finding you, can be daunting and confusing and yeah even disturbing, I’ll advise you to take your time and work on, spending time more alone in solitude, it helps connect you to your true self and your divine potentials given to you by abba, well, apparently, you can’t even connect truly with your true self without abba in the picture, it’s going to be a long daunting and purposeless life.
Over the years I come to realize how complex a man and everything he’s made up of can be.
First, I want you to understand that change is constant in the world in which we are living. Nothing, the last time I checked ever remains forever the same (except God Almighty).
Everything is susceptible to change including man, his environment, his attitude, character, and personality, among others.
Take, for example, myself,
I know perfectly well I’m going to be great; this is not a prophecy but a fact.
Why I’m I so sure? Well, I’ve been busy all my life doing all the necessary things and developing myself constantly on the pathway of greatness, there are so many things I know now that I never knew 10 years ago precisely.
I’ve spent most of my life learning, unlearning, and relearning. I’ve read a good number of books, attended seminars, conferences, and concerts, digested a lot of videos and audio, and I’ve also done quite a good number of research and observations, constantly learning, changing, and improving.
Well, I know I’m unlimited and great beyond measure because of the unlimited personality I have in me (the Holy Spirit), and I so rely solemnly on Him to get to the permanent site.
Now shifting focus from me to you; what have you been doing all these years with your life? How much do you know yourself, your capabilities, and your abilities?
Well, the truth is that you’re also learning, unlearning, and relearning but I guess the results will differentiate us all.
What have you been learning?
What have you been unlearning?
What have you been relearning?
How much do you know you?
Collecting all these pieces of information together can you beat your chest and say: “I’m going to be great!”, or ” I’m great! “?
You see, above all things, it’s paramount that you know exactly who you are and what you’re made up of, because the world is your stage and you’re expected to influence it completely; as with the words of the Holy Scriptures, subdue, dominate and overtake completely. Only those who are intentional, focused and determined will find themselves, and once you do, congratulations, you’re already on the part to greatness.
Here are tips to help you to know you:
-Get connected to your source and maker
-Do a lot of brain work (reasoning)
-Be studious
-Be observant and get connected to your passions, dreams, vision, and aspirations.
-You’re made for more, and expected to do more, don’t let that escape your mind; allow it to be a guide.
- Have role models
Sometimes as you move and navigate through life and all its huddles, you will realize that you’ll get to meet people who are in sync with where you’re going, they seem to possess the picture already of where you see yourself; with these you can meet them to put you through, standing as support systems to drag you up to where they are, these will save you a whole lot.
They’ll use their skills, experiences, and expertise, in sync with their network to build you up making the path and journey, easier and stress-free.
There are differences between role models and mentors, the former are people you aspire to be like, and you watch and learn from them from afar, without necessarily getting close, the reverse is the case for mentors, they take you by the hand and lift you, they teach you each step and guide you to take them.
I’ll conclude at this point; I hope this piece from Naijassador was worth the read.
