Nigerian rapper and activist Falz has criticised the Federal Government of Nigeria over its handling of the recent deadly attack in Kwara State, accusing authorities of failing to bring perpetrators to justice.

In a video shared on his Instagram page, the artiste expressed frustration that despite the scale of the killings, there had been no public announcement of arrests or prosecutions.

The attack occurred on February 3, 2026, in Woro and Nuku villages in Kaiama Local Government Area, where gunmen reportedly killed scores of residents and destroyed properties.

The incident stirred national outrage and renewed concerns over insecurity in the country.

Falz questioned why political actors appear to be focusing on preparations for the 2027 elections while communities affected by violence are still mourning their losses.

According to him, the response from authorities seemed limited to official statements without visible action against those responsible for the killings.

He also criticised political parties for building campaign structures ahead of the election cycle and called on leaders to prioritise citizens’ safety.

The rapper further expressed disappointment with some religious leaders, accusing them of remaining silent on critical national issues and relying solely on prayers rather than encouraging accountability.

Following the attack, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu condemned the killings and ordered the deployment of security forces to the affected area.

Falz, however, insisted that concrete action, including arrests and prosecutions, is necessary to restore public confidence and deter future attacks.
