Afrobeats superstar Davido has opened up about the emotional pressure he faced before releasing his hit album Timeless.
According to Davido, he was so anxious about the project’s success that he considered stepping away from music completely if the album failed.
“I would have retired from music if my album Timeless had flopped,” he revealed.
The singer explained that on the night the album dropped, he spent time praying before eventually falling asleep, overwhelmed by fear and uncertainty.
“The night it dropped, I prayed for 30 minutes and immediately fell asleep. When I woke up around 2AM, I was scared… then my team hugged me and said congratulations.”
