Nollywood actor and former presidential aspirant Yul Edochie has voiced his disappointment over boxer Anthony Joshua’s recent defeat at Wembley Stadium.
In a heavyweight clash on Saturday, Joshua was knocked out in the fifth round by his rival, Daniel Dubois, who retained his IBF heavyweight title.
The highly anticipated fight drew a massive crowd of 96,000 spectators, where Dubois showcased a commanding performance, flooring Joshua four times before delivering a decisive right hook to the chin in the fifth round that ended the contest.
Following the match, Joshua reflected on his loss during the post-match press conference, acknowledging a series of mistakes that contributed to his defeat.
Taking to Instagram, Yul Edochie expressed his concern for Joshua’s future in boxing.
“No disrespect to Anthony Joshua, but e be like boxing don tire am sef,” he wrote.
Yul noted that throughout the lead-up to the match, Joshua appeared to lack seriousness, which further fueled his disappointment.
Despite his concerns, Yul stressed that he remains a dedicated fan of the boxing champion, stating, “Still a fan of AJ. But the result pain me. E pain me.”
