Idris Okuneye, widely known as Bobrisky, has revealed that he is contemplating suicide following accusations of bribing officials with N15 million. The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) received an audio recording allegedly featuring Bobrisky offering the money to avoid incarceration at the Kirikiri Correctional Center in Lagos State and to have money laundering charges against him dismissed. As reported by Naijassador the recording was presented to the EFCC by prominent activist and social media influencer Martins Vincent Otse, also known as VeryDarkMan.
Bobrisky has dismissed the audio as fake, insisting that the claims are unfounded. Nevertheless, he took to Facebook to express his distress over the situation, stating that he has never considered suicide before but is now struggling with the thoughts due to the actions of others trying to tarnish his reputation.
In his post, he wrote: “I have never thought about suicide in my life, but now it’s coming to my mind seeing what humans do to one another just to bring them down or because they don’t like them. I don’t need sympathy from anyone. The only people I might have needed sympathy from are my late parents. But who will fight for you? Friends? Haters you won.”
