Nigerian activist and lawyer Deji Adeyanju has weighed in on the country’s electricity supply, claiming that most Nigerians are not demanding for 24-hour uninterrupted power supply.

The legal practitioner, while speaking on The Honest Bunch podcast, stressed that Nigerians’ demand from their government is not unrealistic, noting that most people want reliable power at critical times of the day.

Adeyanju explained that their expectations should not be considered difficult to satisfy, stating that Nigerians are the easiest people to please.

“Nigerians don’t even want 24 hours light, can they even afford 24 hours light? Nigerians just want to come home at 8pm and meet light so they won’t sweat when they sleep and also meet the light by 7am so they can iron their clothes and then you can take the light and divert it to where factories are. Nigerians are not asking for much and they’re the easiest people to please. How can this be too much?” he stated.
