Wunmi Aloba, widow of the late singer Mohbad, has expressed deep frustration over the prolonged embalmment of her husband’s body.
In a recent interview with media personality Chude Jideonwo, she accused her father-in-law, Joseph Aloba, of deliberately delaying Mohbad’s burial without a valid reason.
During the emotional conversation, she revealed that the continued stay of the singer’s body at the Yaba morgue has been devastating for her. “It still feels like he is alive because he is in Yaba morgue. It is so sad that he has not been buried, and he has been cut twice,” she lamented, stressing that the delay has caused unnecessary pain.
She also recalled Mohbad’s deep love for their son, Liam, mentioning that he had tattooed their child’s name before his birth. “If only the dead could see, my husband would have cried gallons of tears,” she said.
Mohbad, born Ilerioluwa Oladimeji Aloba, passed away in September 2023 under controversial circumstances, sparking a public outcry. Nearly two years later, with the body still unburied, tensions continue to rise between Wunmi and her father-in-law, leaving many questioning the delay in laying the late singer to rest.
