President Tinubu Hosts Edo Governor-Elect Senator Monday Okpebholo at Presidential Villa, Naijassador reports.
President Bola Tinubu welcomed Edo State Governor-elect, Senator Monday Okpebholo, at the Presidential Villa in Abuja on Thursday. Okpebholo was accompanied by APC National Chairman Abdullahi Ganduje and several governors elected under the party’s platform.
Among the notable attendees were the Chairman of the Progressive Governors Forum, Governor Hope Uzodimma of Imo State, along with Governors Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq (Kwara), Uba Sani (Kaduna), Usman Ododo (Kogi), and Dapo Abiodun (Ogun). Senator Adams Oshiomhole and Edo Deputy Governor Philip Shaibu were also present.
The visit followed Okpebholo’s recent victory in the Edo State governorship election, as declared by INEC, with the governor-elect receiving his certificate of return on Thursday.
