Controversial Nollywood actor Yul Edochie has once again stirred controversy after addressing the growing misconceptions surrounding his dual religious identity.

Taking to his Instagram page, Edochie clarified that being both a Christian and a Traditionalist does not equate to serving two gods.

Instead, he argued that it is simply a case of worshipping the same God in two different ways.

“Being a Christian and a Traditionalist doesn’t mean you’re serving 2 Gods. No. It means you’re serving the same God in 2 different ways,” he wrote.

This comes months after the actor publicly declared himself a prophet and native doctor, following his much-publicized separation from his wife, May Edochie.

Edochie had launched his own ministry earlier this year, claiming a divine calling to merge spiritual and traditional beliefs.

In March, the son of veteran actor Pete Edochie stunned fans by revealing that God instructed him to return home and learn the traditional worship and practices of his ancestors, which he says are divinely approved. According to him, obeying this instruction made him feel “complete.”
