Afrobeats superstar Davido recently paid a visit to his former school, Babcock University, and the reception he received was amazing.
Videos from the visit showed members of the school brigade saluting and warmly welcoming the singer, with many describing the moment as “presidential” due to the respect and excitement surrounding his arrival.
Davido, whose real name is David Adeleke, studied at Babcock University after returning to Nigeria from the United States. He later graduated with a degree in Music in 2015, years after rising to fame in the Nigerian music industry.
Over the years, Davido has often spoken proudly about his educational journey, balancing academics with his successful music career. His return to the university appeared emotional and inspiring to many students, who celebrated him as one of the institution’s biggest celebrity alumni.
