The national chairman of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) , Iyorchia Ayu, may contribute to the party’s loss in the 2023 presidential election, according to Rivers governor Nyesom Wike.
The governor made this statement on Thursday in response to recent comments made by Ayu regarding requests for his resignation.
In an interview with BBC Hausa on Wednesday, Ayu claimed that the people calling for his resignation are kids.
“When we started the PDP journey, we did not see these children. They are children who do not know why we established this party,” he had said.
“We will not allow one person to come and destroy our party.”
