Popular Nigerian TikTok singer, Habeeb Hamzat, widely known as Peller, has opened up about his personal journey from Islam to Christianity, citing traumatic experiences during his childhood as the turning point.
During a recent live session with his followers, Peller revealed that his time at a traditional Quranic school, locally referred to as Ile Kewu, left him emotionally scarred.
He recounted being severely beaten as a young boy, an experience that drove him away from Islamic education and ultimately led him to embrace Christianity.
“I’m not a Muslim. I’m a Christian. I go to church,” he declared. “I was beaten severely when I was young at the Quranic School. That’s why I stopped going.”
