Nigerian activist and critic Martins Vincent Otse, known as VeryDarkMan, has called on President Bola Tinubu to take decisive action against clergymen who make miraculous claims, citing Prophet Jeremiah Fufeyin as a primary example.

This appeal follows the circulation of a viral video showing Fufeyin performing a purported miracle, where a woman who could not walk reportedly began walking after being touched with a hand towel soaked in what appeared to be holy water.

In his statement, Otse expressed strong skepticism about the authenticity of such miracles and demanded stricter regulations.

He said:

“President Tinubu needs to ban pastors like Jeremiah from showcasing their miracles online. If you take Prophet Jeremiah to a hospital now, he will not be able to heal a fly. Prophet Jeremiah, you must sue me again; I want you to double the lawsuit. I want a case that will land me and you in a hospital filled with sick people or a disability home. If you manage to heal 300 people, they should jail me for 300 years. Pastor Jeremiah, you need to follow me to Borno Maiduguri right away; thousands of people need spiritual healings right now.”
