There are indications that thousands of illegal immigrants from Nigeria and other African countries may be deported from the U.S by the Donald Trump administration.
Trump, since he was sworn-in, has already started to make good his vow to deport illegal immigrants from Latin America and Asia. But a document published by the U.S. immigration office suggests that Africans could soon be targeted in the aggressive deportation campaign of the administration.
The document contains a list of 53 African countries whose citizens are affected in the speculated deportations. Sao Tome is at the bottom of the list with only one citizen targeted for deportation.
DR Congo is said to be the only African country spared from the envisaged exercise.
