Renowned entrepreneur and Chairman of Cubana Group, Dr. Obinna Iyiegbu, popularly known as Obi Cubana, has unveiled plans to set up a tricycle assembly plant in Ebonyi State.
Speaking to journalists in Abakaliki after a meeting with Governor Francis Nwifuru, Obi Cubana highlighted the state’s peaceful environment, improved security, and enhanced infrastructure as key factors driving his decision to invest.
He emphasized the need for business leaders to contribute to Ebonyi’s development rather than focusing solely on investments in other states. The new business expansion will focus on tricycle assembly and sales, aiming to boost employment and economic growth.
“As renowned businessmen, we cannot continue investing in other states while neglecting Ebonyi. One of our major partners is from Ebonyi, and we are committed to supporting the state government’s job creation efforts,” he stated.
The billionaire businessman assured that visible progress on the project would be seen in the coming months, aligning with the government’s push for industrialization and economic empowerment.
