Veteran Nollywood actor Jude Chukwuka recently revealed a shocking encounter where he was attacked by a group of unknown men while on a movie set in Ikorodu, Lagos State.
According to him, the assailants mistook him for Naira Marley’s father and accused him of being responsible for the untimely death of the late singer Mohbad.
In an interview he granted, the actor recounted how the attackers were convinced that Naira Marley whom they wrongly believed to be his son had a hand in Mohbad’s passing.
In his words:
“I understood from the beginning that blaming Naira Marley for Mohbad’s death was an attack on his personality,” Chukwuka explained. “Some people wanted to take advantage of the situation for their own gain. On set, a group of men confronted me, insisting my ‘son’ was responsible for Mohbad’s death.”
The actor, however, firmly clarified that he has no relation to Naira Marley.
“I told them I am not his father. My home is in Delta State, while Naira Marley is from Abeokuta.”
The incident highlights the intense emotions surrounding Mohbad’s death and how misinformation can lead to unintended consequences.
