The Lagos State Coroner’s Court in Ikorodu has recommended the criminal prosecution of auxiliary nurse Feyisayo Ogedengbe over the controversial death of Nigerian singer Ilerioluwa Aloba, popularly known as Mohbad.

Delivering the verdict on Friday, Magistrate C.A. Shotobi ruled that while no foul play or homicide was established, Ogedengbe’s conduct amounted to gross negligence and unauthorized medical practice.

The court held that she unlawfully administered an injection to the late singer without a doctor’s prescription.

“In line with Section 29 of the Coroner Laws of Lagos State, this court recommends that the Office of the Director of Public Prosecution, DPP, initiate appropriate legal action against Feyisayo Ogedengbe for unauthorized medical practice and gross negligence,” Magistrate Shotobi stated.

During her court testimony in March 2025, Ogedengbe admitted to administering a tetanus injection to Mohbad, after which he began to vomit and experienced adverse reactions.
