Joseph Aloba, the father of the late Nigerian singer Mohbad, has expressed ongoing doubts about the paternity of his grandson, Liam.
Speaking in a recent interview on Silverbird Television, Aloba reiterated his concerns, stating that Liam does not resemble his late son, Mohbad, and therefore, he questions the child’s biological connection to the family.
“I would only accept Liam as my grandson if the DNA test says otherwise,” Aloba stated, stressing the importance of a paternity test to clarify the situation. He also mentioned that the child’s parents should have facilitated the test earlier, and suggested that the matter should now be handled by the courts.
Aloba had been vocal in his demands for justice following the sudden death of his son on September 12, 2023, and had previously called for an investigation into Mohbad’s wife, Omowunmi, and a DNA test to confirm Liam’s lineage.
The controversy surrounding Mohbad’s untimely passing continues to stir public discussion, with many closely watching developments in the case, including the requested DNA test.
Aloba’s statements come after the body of his late son was exhumed on September 21, 2023, for an autopsy by the Lagos State Police Command.
