Nigerian singer Mr. May D has stirred controversy on X (formerly Twitter), claiming that his Grammy-winning colleague, Wizkid, wouldn’t have reached his current level of success if he hadn’t fallen out with his former record label, Square Records.
In a heated exchange with Wizkid fans, May D boldly stated, “If no be wetin happen between me and Psquare, who be Wiz [Wizkid]? Chai,” insinuating that the fallout was crucial in shaping Wizkid’s rise to fame.
The altercation began after May D shared a post praising fellow Nigerian artiste Davido. According to him, Wizkid’s fans began attacking him in response.
“Because I spoke about David, Wizkid boys are attacking me Lmao even Wiz knows I love him, but if y’all come for me I’ll finish all of you and your oga,” he wrote in retaliation.
May D, known for his controversial statements, further declared, “Even your Wizkid knows his limits! Don’t f*ck with me,”
