Nollywood actress, Efe Irele in a latest post on social media drums support for her senior colleague, Desmond Elliot ahead of the governorship and house of assembly elections.
Efe Irele via her verified IG page today, March 15th made it known to all and sundry that she will be voting for Desmond Elliot.
Recall that Naijassador earlier reported that 49-year-old Desmond Elliot who has been in the Lagos State House of Assembly since April 2015 till date under the party APC will be vying against 28-year-old actor Oworu Olumide Abiodun of Labour Party for the Lagos State House of Assembly – Surulere 1 constituency.
Despite the backlashes being dished to Desmond Elliot, actress Efe Irele maintained her stands as she claims that Desmond is good representative who has done so well for his constituency, she also goes on to list all the things he has done so far for the people of Surulere.
Efe Irele wrote,
“I believe in @desmondelliot not because I know him but because I have seen what he has done as an individual and as a lawmaker. I have seen how he encouraged and supported young Lagosians (including me) in the creative industry. I have seen him provide free shuttle buses for students in Surulere.
I personally know up to 15 out of the 1,000 people he provided free health care and insurance for. Forget PR and social media management, Desmond Elliot is a good representative and I will be supporting and voting for him on Saturday. I am with you my big brother and friend. @desmondelliot.”
