A Nigerian woman has made a public appeal for help after revealing that seven of her brothers were allegedly kidnapped in Enugu State.
In an emotional statement, the woman called on Nigerians to come to her family’s aid, saying,
“Nigerians, please help us… seven of my brothers have been kidnapped.”
According to her, the victims were returning from a burial ceremony where they had gone to perform drumming services — a profession they rely on for their livelihood — when the incident occurred.
She further explained that the kidnappers have since contacted the family and are demanding a ransom described as a “huge amount,” far beyond what the family can afford.
The distraught woman also appealed directly to the government of Enugu State to urgently intervene and assist in securing the safe release of her brothers.
As of the time of this report, there has been no official statement from authorities regarding the incident. The case adds to growing concerns over insecurity and rising cases of abduction in parts of the country.
