Born in Isale Eko, Lagos state Nigeria on February 5, 1980, is famous Nigerian singer and songwriter, Tiwa Savage. Her real name is Tiwatope Omolara Savage and she is credited for writing hit songs for several international acts. She was also a backup singer for artists such as George Michael and Mary J. Blige. She was also formerly signed to the Mavins record label owned by Don Jazzy.
Tiwa Savage was formerly married to Tunji Balogun but divorced in 2018 and they share a son. In 2021, she fell out with fellow Nigerian singer Seyi Shay in a hair salon and the altercation was recorded and posted online. Savage has collaborated with several artists on her songs and recently sang at the after-party coronation of the King of England.
