‘I’ve been through a lot’, Skales opens up on childhood

Nigerian singer Skales, has opened up on his upbringing and childhood, revealing that he comes from an humble background.

While speaking on the A TownHall Different Podcast, Skales spoke about his childhood in Kaduna, where he used to live in a hut.

Taking a trip down memory lane, Skales expressed gratitude for his growth and journey.

“I’ve been through a lot. I come from Kaduna from a poor family. My mum was a teacher. I used to live in a hut before we moved to like BQ. A proper, we sleep on the floor with mats, and my mom would put wrapper on the floor. So coming from that situation, to becoming who I am right now is crazy men. Sometimes I just look at it and I’m like that’s crazy. I never saw TV. The first time I saw TV was when EME signed me. Like to have my own TV in my room,” he said.
