Controversial Nigerian rapper, Speed Darlington, has shared details of his second arrest, shedding light on the dramatic moment he was taken into custody.
Speed Darlington was arrested for the second time following defamatory statements he made against fellow artist, Burna Boy. However, speaking about the incident, the rapper revealed that he was caught off guard by two police squads while heading back to his hotel room.
In a video post from his final performance before the arrest, Speed Darlington recounted how it all unfolded. He wrote:
“After I measured this booty right there in Owerri, 30 minutes later I came outside to go back to the hotel because my obligation to the host had been fulfilled. That’s when two squads of police rushed me and ruffled me up. The whole time, I thought my host was trying to make me special by giving me an escort to my hotel from the venue since he was unable to provide it from the hotel to the venue… It took like 12 seconds or more before I realized that I was under arrest. Just like that, I was gone for two months.”
The rapper’s revelation has sparked conversations online, with fans reacting to both the nature of his arrest and his characteristic storytelling style.
