Aggrieved G-5 Governors of the Peoples Democratic Party have been urged to endorse Peter Obi, the presidential candidate of Labour Party for the February election.
The Coalition of South East Youth Leaders, COSEYL made the call in a statement issued by the President-General of the coalition, Goodluck Ibem.
The coalition appealed to the Governors namely; Nyesom Wike of Rivers State, Samuel Ortom of Benue State, Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi of Enugu State, Okezie Ikpeazu of Abia State and the Oyo State governor, Seyi Makinde, to ‘write their names in gold’ by endorsing Obi.
The appeal was contained in a statement:
“Governor Nyesom Wike, the leader of the G-5 governors, owes Nigerians a huge responsibility, having severally said the truth on the state of the nation and doing things for the betterment of the country.
“It is therefore on Governor Wike and members of the G5 Governors to support Peter Obi who is competent and has the capacity to deliver”, the statement added.
