Nigerian artist Folarin Falana, also known as Falz, has weighed in on the controversies surrounding tribe and religion in the country.
The artist, on his X handle reacted to a tweet by fellow singer Nasboi, who urged Nigerians to put their differences aside and unite for the progress of the country.
“We’ve really kept quiet in this country. Reminiscing stories like ‘snake swallowing money.’ These politicians really take us for granted. busy stealing money they cannot finish on earth. It’s time to put our tribes and religions aside. Put this Country first,” Nasboi wrote.
While responding to the tweet, Falz stated that tribal and religious sentiments are being used to divide Nigerians.
“I cannot begin to explain how depressing it has been in recent years, seeing tribal and religious sentiments still being used to turn us against each other. At some point we need to start thinking for ourselves,” he wrote.
