The supposed battle for the soul of free speech in Nigeria was put to test recently when the Nigerian Broadcasting Commission, the regulatory body of media houses in Nigeria shut down AIT and Raypower stations belonging to a PDP stalwart, Raymond Dokpesi.

There have been arguments back and forth, allegations and counter-allegations.

Given the press statement by NBC, do you think the body is within her rights to clamp down on any erring media house or this is simply partisan politics?

What is your take?
