Nollywood star, Tonto Dikeh, has shared a deeply emotional testimony about her spiritual journey and the transformation she experienced through the Holy Spirit.
In a heartfelt post titled “Things the Holy Spirit Healed Me From,” the actress recounted how God delivered her from anger, pain, and depression — struggles that once consumed her life.
“I used to have a fuse so short it could ignite a storm,” she wrote. “My anger was not power; it was pain disguised as control. But one day, I broke down and cried out like a child. And El-Roi, the God who sees me, saw me. He didn’t condemn me. He covered me with mercy and healed me completely.”
Tonto, who said her anger once cost her peace and relationships, described how the Holy Spirit taught her that “peace is stronger than rage” and that “silence can carry more authority than shouting ever could.”
She also opened up about battling deep emotional pain and depression, revealing that she once attempted suicide before encountering divine intervention.
“Depression was my closest companion, and I attempted suicide. But God said, ‘Child, get up.’ And I did. Weak, trembling, but alive,” she revealed.
The actress said her healing journey reshaped her outlook on life, making her more empathetic toward others struggling with pain. “Now when I see people acting from a place of pain, I don’t judge them. I intercede for them,” she wrote, urging others to seek the same God who gave her peace.
Reflecting on her renewed faith, Tonto Dikeh said she has rededicated her life to Christ, describing her relationship with God as “the most beautiful and fulfilling journey” of her life.
“I am not ashamed to say it loudly: my life belongs to God. I enjoy learning every day from Him and moving in His grace,” she affirmed.
Her testimony has since drawn admiration across social media, with many praising her for her openness and spiritual strength
