Rising Nollywood producer, Stanley Ontop, has waded into the online drama between VDM and comedian Deeone. He has also harshly criticized the social media critic Verydarkman following his plea to appear on TVC News to defend himself against allegations made by Deeone.
In an earlier post shared on his Instagram page, VDM had accused TVC News of been biased for allowing Deeone to make unverified claims about him, including allegations of NGO fund mismanagement and an intimate video with a man. In response, VDM demanded a chance to clear his name on the same platform.
However, Stanley Ontop strongly opposed this request, sharing multiple videos of VDM, including alleged explicit footage, to counter his claims of innocence. The producer insisted that VDM’s past statements contradicted his current stance.
In a viral post, Stanley Ontop mocked VDM, suggesting that his confessions had already exposed him. He questioned why the social critic was eager to appear on TVC if he had no evidence to refute the allegations.
The ongoing controversy has further fueled social media debates, with supporters and critics weighing in on the escalating drama. Whether TVC will grant VDM a platform remains uncertain, but the situation highlights the increasing tensions between influencers and mainstream media in Nigeria.
