With Nigerians still anticipating the outcome of the corona inquest and legal proceedings resulting from the death of Nigerian singer Mohbad, more news is rising.
At the beginning of the legal proceedings, Nigerian singer and former label boss to Mohbad, Naira Marley and his associate, Sam Larry were accused of involvement in the death and harassment of the late singer. However, a Lagos Magistrate Court sitting in Yaba, Lagos has now cleared him and Sam Larry, of any involvement in the death of Mohbad.
On February 25, 2025, the court dismissed all allegations against Naira Marley, Sam Larry, and Prime Boy, ruling that they were unrelated to the singer’s tragic passing. The Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) further disclosed that legal action would instead be taken against the auxiliary nurse, Feyisayo Ogedengbe, who treated Mohbad and Mohbad’s friend, Ayobami Sodiq.
Following the court’s ruling, Naira Marley took to his Twitter page to express his feelings, sharing a quote from the Quran:
“And whoever puts all his trust in Allah, He will be enough for him. (65:3).” His post suggests a sense of relief and faith in divine justice.
