Former lawmaker, Senator Shehu Sani has reacted to the calls for the hiring of mercenaries to combat insurgent attacks in the country.
The former lawmaker from Kaduna expressed that the request for mercenaries is a vote of no confidence in the security outfits in the country.
This statement is following Governor Babagana Zulum of Borno State and North-East Governors Forum’s appeals to the Federal Government to employ mercenaries to combat Boko Haram in their region.
He wrote:
The Request for mercenaries is a vote of no confidence in our National security and defence forces.
