Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan has vehemently rejected her six-month suspension by the Senate, describing the decision as unfair and vowing to contest it.
“This injustice will not be sustained,”
Natasha declared before her microphone was cut off, and she was escorted out of the Senate chamber.
The Kogi-born politician claimed that Akpabio was punishing her for rejecting his alleged sexual advances. This followed a disagreement over seating arrangements in the Senate.
The Senate Committee on Ethics, Privileges, and Public Petitions reviewed the matter and recommended Akpoti-Uduaghan’s suspension, which was upheld by the Senate on Thursday.
As a result, she will forfeit her salary and have her official security details withdrawn during the suspension period.
