Social media was awash yesterday with the news of the commissioning of an electric pole by one of the senators representing Niger state, Senator Mustapha Sani Mohammed.
Not only was the ‘commissioning’ intriguing but that the pole that was being commissioned was not even in the ground yet. As a matter of fact, the pole was held throughout the occasion.
Now the question is:
Why is there a problem with this occasion? If the senator feels that is what his people need, and he is duly providing them with the necessities then why do people outside his constituency have issues with this? Do you know if the most important need in the constituency is an electric pole?
I am sure the people in his constituency are happy and wish many more poles will be erected and commissioned.
