Newly sworn-in president of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA), Olumide Akpata has announced his plans to audit previous elections conducted by the association.

Recall that on Friday, Akpata was sworn-in as the 30th president of the association.

Akpata made the disclosure Sunday morning in a series of tweets on his Twitter handle.

He announced that he has set up an Electoral Audit and Reforms Committee to audit the body’s 2016, 2018 and 2020 elections.

The Committee, headed by Ayo Akintunde SAN, will also recommend reforms for future electoral systems and processes.
