Popular Nigerian singer Spyro has opened up about the huge amount of money he spends on strangers who approach him for help, revealing that the generosity often comes with challenges.
Spyro shared that he spends at least ₦100,000 daily as gifts to strangers who beg him for money whenever he steps out.
On days when he goes out three times a week, his spending reaches ₦300,000, amounting to ₦1.2 million monthly and over ₦15 million annually.
Despite his consistent acts of kindness, the singer recounted a bitter experience where a stranger insulted him simply because he could not give money at that moment.
He posted:
“If I enter restaurant,BILLINGS go de wait me outside ,I enter church ,same thing … Enter estate same ,carry phone enter online na same same … EVERYBODY wants to take but nobody de give you and nobody thinks of how you are fairing ♂️ S/O to everyone of my colleagues out there going through this ,ya’ll are the real MVP’s and I CELEBRATE you .”
“Everybody wants to take from me, but nobody wants to give me,” Spyro lamented, noting the emotional toll of constant demands and the lack of reciprocity from those he assists.
