Nigerian musician David Adeleke, a.k.a Davido has recently revealed his plans to delve into filmmaking this year.
The singer revealed this in a recent interview where he said had he not become a musician, he would have been in the movie making industry.
“I studied business marketing, so I would have still been in the entertainment space if I wasn’t singing, but probably, more of behind the scenes.” he said.
Davido also spoke on his acting abilities, reiterating that he has acted in some of his music videos.
“I can also act. I can act for real. I act in my music videos. I acted in music videos like ‘Jowo’, ‘Nwa Baby’.” he stated.
The Grammy Nominee also shared his plans and interests to to work in the movie making space with Dammy Twitch, while also sharing his opinion of the African movie industry.
I am investing in a couple of films this year, shoutout to my director, Dammy Twitch. We have some ideas, series coming.
The film space right now in Africa is going bankrupt. So, we are definitely going to tap into that,” Davido said while expressing his plans to invest in the film industry in 2025.
