Nigerian music superstar David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, has been named as one of the featured artistes on British monarch King Charles III’s music playlist.
The playlist was unveiled in The King’s Music Room, a new Apple Music show recorded in the monarch’s Buckingham Palace office.
The collection showcases King Charles III’s diverse musical taste, spanning genres such as disco, reggae, and Afrobeats.
It includes songs from global icons like Bob Marley, Kylie Minogue, Grace Jones, Davido, and Raye, among others.
The special edition of the show is set to air next Monday in commemoration of Commonwealth Day.
Speaking about the playlist, King Charles III described it as “the soundtrack of his life,” emphasizing the profound role music has played for him over the years.
“Throughout my life, music has meant a great deal to me. I know that is also the case for so many others,” he said.
