Arsenal fans have taken to social networking site Twitter to give their reaction to speculation linking the club with a move for Daley Blind in the summer transfer window.

According to The Mirror, Arsenal are monitoring the situation of Blind, who is reportedly unsure whether he would fit into Jose Mourinho’s plans next season.

It has been reported that the new United manager believes that the Dutchman is too small to feature at centre-back, the position where he played for most of last season.

The Netherlands international is a very versatile footballer and is one of the better players at Old Trafford.

The 26-year-old, who joined the Red Devils from Dutch giants Ajax in the summer of 2014, can play as a defender and as a defensive midfielder.

Blind does not have pace, but he is an intelligent footballer who is very good at passing.

The Dutchman featured in 25 Premier League matches for United during the 2014-15 campaign, scoring two goals and creating 17 chances in the process.

The former Ajax star scored one goal and created 25 chances in 35 league games for the Red Devils last season.
