President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has joined family members, friends, and associates in celebrating the 90th birthday of renowned businessman and philanthropist, Chief Adebutu Adebukunola Kessington, describing him as a national treasure whose life exemplifies hard work, integrity, and compassion.
In a statement on Thursday, President Tinubu lauded Chief Adebutu’s remarkable journey from humble beginnings in Iperu-Iremo, Ogun State, to national prominence as a pioneering entrepreneur and cultural icon. He said the nonagenarian’s story reflects the virtues of resilience, faith, and selfless service.
“Chief Adebutu has enjoyed countless blessings in his 90 years on earth, and we, his friends and associates, are thankful,” the President said.
He said, “From modest origins, he rose through diligence and vision to become a beacon of hope, whose influence spans business, philanthropy, and culture.”
President Tinubu praised Chief Adebutu’s business acumen and pioneering role in Nigeria’s modern lottery industry, noting that his entrepreneurial ventures have created employment opportunities, sustained families, and inspired younger generations.
