Popular Nollywood actress Yewande Adekoya has shared a deeply personal account of a miscarriage she experienced in 2013, revealing that the painful episode ultimately strengthened her faith in God.
Adekoya made the disclosure in an emotional video posted on her Instagram page, where she recounted how complications arose during her first pregnancy, leading to a hospital emergency.
According to the actress, she was rushed to the hospital after experiencing severe bleeding and was informed by doctors that she had lost the pregnancy. She said she was advised that a medical evacuation procedure might be required, a prospect that left her devastated and afraid.
“I was told the baby had died and that an evacuation would be needed. I had heard how painful the process could be, and that made everything even more frightening,” she said, adding that she cried throughout the night as she battled both physical pain and emotional distress.
Adekoya explained that the fear was particularly overwhelming because it was her first pregnancy, describing the experience as both devastating and terrifying.
She further narrated that while awaiting the procedure, she had a vivid dream in which a man dressed in white, resembling a medical doctor, appeared and told her it was time for the evacuation.
According to her, she later woke up to discover that the miscarriage had completed naturally, without the need for any surgical intervention.
