Tensions rose in Edo State as young residents took to the streets to protest persistent power outages, sending a strong message ahead of the planned visit of Seyi Tinubu and his City Boys movement.
Chanting “No light, no campaign,” the youths expressed frustration over the lack of electricity and what they described as years of unmet promises.
The protesters emphasized that stable power supply is a basic necessity, not a political favor, insisting that their daily struggles cannot be ignored. Many carried placards and voiced concerns about how unreliable electricity continues to affect businesses, livelihoods, and overall quality of life in the state.
