Kris Asimonye, wife of popular comedian Bovi Ugboma, has revealed that her husband encouraged her to keep her maiden name after their marriage.
She made the disclosure in a recent post on her Instagram page, where she recounted an early conversation they had shortly after they got married.
According to her, the comedian advised her not to change her surname, a suggestion she initially did not fully understand.
“When I got married, my husband encouraged me not to change my last name. At the time I did not fully understand why,” she wrote.
Kris, who shares three children with the comedian, explained that she now appreciates the advice as she continues to build her personal brand and professional identity.
“Now, building Kris Asimonye as a brand, I understand completely,” she added.
