Blaqbonez breaks silence after being attacked on stage

Nigerian rapper Emeka Akumefule, popularly known as Blaqbonez, faced a hostile crowd during a performance in Abuja.bb

The shocking incident occurred on December 7 at the Delphino Picnic behind the Abuja Velodrome, where Blaqbonez performed alongside Runtown and Duncan Mighty.

A video shows a section of the audience booing and throwing objects toward the stage, abruptly disrupting his performance. The hostility peaked during his rendition of “ACL”, a track from his October album No Excuses.

Sources suggest the aggression may have been fueled by lingering tensions following Blaqbonez’s online clash with colleague Odumodublvck, as well as controversial remarks he recently made on social media.

Despite the chaos, Blaqbonez maintained composure and later took to Twitter to address the incident with his trademark humour:

“thought they could stop me from doing acl, i gave them 3 times 😂”

The event has triggered a flood of reactions, with many condemning the crowd’s behaviour:
